What Think Later does
Think Later helps you get thoughts out of your head before deciding what to do with them. Write a note in your own words, organize the resulting entries, add missing details when you are ready, and choose a time for the things that need one.
It is a native iPhone and iPad app with an English interface, offline storage, and Light, Dark or System appearance. The current build supports iOS/iPadOS 15.2 and later, including iOS 15.2.1.
App identifier: app.thinklater.ios.
From a thought to a plan
- CaptureWrite “Dentist appointment” and tap Save thought. Without AI consent, local rules create entries. With consent, choose Save with AI to classify through our server, OpenRouter and the selected model provider (sign-in and connection required), or Save on device without AI for local processing. Your original text is preserved.
- WorkspaceFind entries in one list, search by title, or filter by status. Open an entry to edit its title, type and status.
- ReviewOpen entries that need details. For the appointment, answer the day and time questions.
- PlanOpen an entry, choose its start and duration, and tap Schedule entry. Find it in Plan. Scheduling stays inside Think Later; it does not create a system alert or calendar event.
No account, payment or device token is needed to try this local workflow. AI classification and assistant conversations require consent, sign-in and a connection.
Common questions
Can I use Think Later offline?
Yes. Capture, edit, review and schedule on your device. Saved chats remain readable offline. New assistant replies need a connection; failed messages can be retried manually.
How do I switch between Light and Dark?
Open Settings with the gear button. Under Appearance, choose System, Light or Dark. System follows your device’s appearance setting.
Why did the app misunderstand my thought?
Save with AI uses the selected AI model to classify your thoughts; local saving uses English-language rules. Both can make mistakes. Open the entry to correct its title, type, status or time. Short, explicit phrases are easier to interpret; always check important dates.
Where are my reminders?
Plan shows times inside the app. This version does not request notification permission, send reminders or write to Apple Calendar.
What does “Storage unavailable” mean?
The app could not open its saved data. Close and reopen it first. If the message persists, contact support before deleting or reinstalling the app, since that can remove local content. Include the error text, device model and iOS version.
Can I use another interface language?
The interface and rule-based interpretation are English-only. Text you write is kept in its original language; it is not automatically translated.
Ask Assistant
From Capture, choose Create with Assistant, or open an entry in Workspace, Review or Plan and choose Ask Assistant. Sign in with an email code, enter a message, review the sharing notice and send. Each entry has a separate local conversation for your account.
- AI processing is off: choose Allow AI Processing in the assistant, or enable AI Processing Allowed in Settings and confirm. Without permission, no assistant messages or retries are sent. Your local entries remain available.
- No connection: your outgoing message remains saved locally. Tap Retry when online; sending is not automatic.
- Service unavailable: the server operator must configure the OpenRouter API key and a model supporting structured JSON responses on the PHP server. No simulated replies are shown.
- Request limit: wait before trying again. The server limits requests per account.
- Sign-in issue: codes expire after 10 minutes. Request another code if needed; never share codes with support.
- Older context: only the most recent 20 messages and the selected entry context are sent. Remind the assistant of older details when needed.
Replies are suggestions and may be inaccurate. Choose Chat for conversation, Create entry for a new entry, or Edit entry to propose changes. Review the preview and tap Create entry or Apply changes to save locally. Nothing changes automatically. If the entry changed while you were chatting, request a fresh proposal. Entries and chats are not synchronized between devices.
Your data and removal requests
Use the trash button in Assistant to clear a local conversation. Deleting an entry also removes its local chats; the original captured thought remains. Settings → Remove Local Data clears the current local workspace, including chats for all accounts. Migration backups are retained separately.
Settings → Delete Account removes the account, active server-held data and that account’s chats on this device. Local entries remain. Other devices, backups and provider-held data may retain copies. Contact the developer or your configured server’s operator for further removal or access requests.
Signing in on another device does not restore your entries or conversations. Read the retention details before uninstalling the app.
App Review walkthrough
Capture a thought, open its entry, edit details and schedule it without signing in. Change Light, Dark or System appearance in Settings. Open Ask Assistant on an entry to see the separate conversation screen.
To evaluate replies, use an accessible backend with configured email delivery and an AI provider, then sign in with an email you can access. Supply any necessary review access instructions privately in App Store Connect. The app does not fabricate responses when a service is unavailable.
The current build has no ads, in-app purchases, public content feed, calendar integration or system reminders. Screenshots on the website are from the native app.
